Internal Communications
Internal communication problems are rarely about information. They almost always stem from a lack of coordination, messages that don’t get through, and teams operating under different interpretations of the same reality.
My job is to help change that—without adding more meetings or emails.
What I can do for your organization
-
Assess how information flows within the team
-
Design internal communication strategies tailored to the context
-
Organize information flows to reduce noise and duplication
-
Structure messages for change or reorganization processes
-
Integrate internal communication with knowledge management
When does this approach make sense?
When teams are out of sync and each department operates independently. When critical information doesn’t get through or arrives too late. When a change process needs to be clearly communicated. When an overload of messages creates more confusion than coordination.
I have worked on these types of processes with NGOs, international cooperation projects, public institutions, and technical teams involving multiple stakeholders in Guatemala and across the region.
What Is the Approach?
Internal communication works when it helps get things done. Not by producing more documents or creating more channels, but by ensuring that the right information reaches the right people at the right time. It’s not about communicating more; it’s about making sure the information is clear, useful, and delivered at the right time.
